When Google Maps recorded a woman standing in the same location again, nine years later, it unintentionally created a “one in a billion” moment. In April 2009, Leanne Cartwright was seen crossing the street at the intersection of Victoria Place while carrying a bag under her left arm. The 41-year-old was then miraculously photographed by Google nine years later in the same posture similarly clutching two bags in August 2018.
Time Traveler Caught!
The mother posted the information on Facebook and claims to have been very “flabbergasted” by it all. Leanne wrote that she appeared frozen in time, standing on the same paving slab, with a bag on her shoulder. Many people may think she’s a time traveler and the only person in the world who they’ve caught in the same place almost 10 years later.
Leanne Cartwright says she saw the car the first time and when it got published she went on Google Maps to have a look. People on Facebook thought it was quite funny, but she didn’t mind at all.
Google Maps Recently Updated Their Street View Images
Building a 360-degree map of the entire world was Larry Page’s ambitious plan for Street View fifteen years ago. In the present day: With more than 220 billion Street View photographs from more than 100 countries and territories, a new milestone has been reached that enables Google Maps users to fully experience these locations right on their phone or computer. In addition, Street View is essential to mapping efforts because it gives you access to the most recent data on the planet while creating the groundwork for a more immersive, user-friendly map.
People have gotten inventive with the ways individuals may use Street View cameras to take photos, from the back of a camel in the Arabian desert to a snowmobile speeding across the Arctic. If anyone learned anything, it’s that the world is changing quickly. One strategy we use to stay up with the speed is Google Street View.
